The Smokin’ Barrel Logo Design

The Smokin’ Barrel is Blue Mountain Barrel House’s new barbeque and American pub fare restaurant in Arrington, Virginia. This final, custom mark shows a combination of serif typography and hand-drawn illustrations. The containing shape is a hand-drawn barrel top, which accompanies the vector illustrated flames coming from the head serif of the “b” in the centered “sb” typography. Texture was a added to the typography as well to further tie it together with the hand-done barrel top illustration.
